Find the steps for cancelling an order or returning a book.

How to start a return

1. Have your order reference and the book details ready.
2. Contact us with your cancellation or return request.
3. Check the returns address and postage arrangements before sending the parcel. Keep proof of posting.

Free returns using the prepaid returns label supplied with your order. Contact us if you need a replacement label.

Cancelling an online purchase

For ordinary printed books, tell us within 14 days after receipt if you wish to cancel without giving a reason. You then have 14 days to send the books back. Statutory exceptions, such as genuinely personalised goods, must be identified before purchase.

You do not need our permission to exercise a statutory cancellation right. You may use any clear cancellation statement.

Refunds

We refund the price and any standard outward delivery charge. An upgrade above standard delivery is not refundable under this cancellation right.

We refund within 14 days after receiving the returned goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. If we offer to collect the goods, we refund within 14 days after being told of cancellation. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without a fee. Handling beyond what is needed to inspect the books may reduce the refund.

Faulty goods and additional returns

Faulty or misdescribed goods retain statutory remedies. Any additional change-of-mind offer does not shorten statutory rights.

Additional returns offer

Return books within 60 days of purchase or receipt, whichever is later, in perfect condition with their original packaging and proof of purchase. Return postage is free using the prepaid label. Refunds go to the original payment method. This additional offer does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation statement

You can copy the following into the contact form:

I give notice that I cancel my contract for these goods: [book titles / order reference]. Ordered on / received on: [date]. Customer name and address: [details]. Date: [date].
